
Biography
V. Elliott Cardwell, Jr. was born and raised in Rockingham County. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He earned his Law Degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School located in Lansing, Michigan. Prior to graduation from law school, he interned with the Guilford County District Attorney’s Office where he gained valuable experience prosecuting criminal offenses in District Court. He has practiced law in the state of North Carolina since 2007, working in the Rockingham County Court system.
Mr. Cardwell’s general areas of practice include, but are not limited to, traffic law, juvenile law, child protective service petitions, child support defense, DMV law, DWI defense, and criminal defense in both District and Superior Courts. Mr. Cardwell prides himself on his strong reputation. He is compassionate about the care that his clients receive and is willing to fight to ensure that their rights and dignity are protected. He is well-respected within the local judiciary and by his peers in the local Bar Association.
Mr. Cardwell previously served as president of the 17A Judicial Bar and is an active member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association.
